All the give up.
It’s not working. 😡
I’m choosing to love but they’re not changing.
I give my all at work but they don’t notice.
I’m praying for and serving my kids and they’re still mini-hot-messes.
I’ve chosen to forgive but the feelings of anger and hurt are still there.
I hear you. I do. However, there’s a bigger truth than what you’re seeing.
☝🏼DO NOT GIVE UP!
God’s word always does what it says it will. It may take longer than we want. It may not follow our script exactly how we’ve written it in our heads....
All irrelevant.
God is doin a whole lot more behind the scenes than we can see or hear.
Trust Him and Don’t give up. Keep going boo! He’s set up the system for you to succeed and reap the harvest you’ve been sowing seeds for!
Roadtripping with my family is my least favorite/favorite past time. I love the memories that are made, the guilt-free purchases of banana taffy taffy and spicy Cheetos at the gas stations, and the challenge to beat the google map estimated arrival. One thing that I so DO NOT love, is the no less than 50 times, per hour Ryder asks , "How much longer?". You see, from Ryder's view, we just keep doing the same thing. Stop, go, turn. and go again. He doesn't see that we have a plan. He doesn't see that we are getting him there in the best, most efficient way we can. His atmosphere doesn't change much (the back of the minivan). However, we know there is a path we are taking, and if we just keep moving, we will get there.
Often times we can find ourselves frustrated between the gap of what we are experiencing and what God's word says. We feel like our view is not changing, stop, go, turn and go again. However, God has a path for you. There is a plan that is in action. So, take a deep breath, God has not forgotten about you and the prayers you've prayed and the steps you have taken to obey. Being frustrated is ok. In fact, it is a tool we can use to push ourselves further into Jesus. In the middle of our mess, we throw our hands up in the air because we can not control it anymore. This may not be my favorite place to be, but it is such a good place to be. It is on this fertile ground that we begin to fully rely on Jesus. "God, I can't do it, so you HAVE to." And we can finally feel the sweet release of letting go, and letting Him take full control. Friend, He can be trusted. Don't give up. Just keep moving, and eventually, He will get you there.
Matthew 11:28-29 “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.”
